March 17, 2014

Today's excursion was to Greynolds Park in North Miami Beach. I didn't realize what an amazing (and large) birding spot it would be, so even though I spent an hour and a half there, my time was rushed. I heard a lot more than I was able to spot. No major breeding evidence, but the Cardinals and Red-bellied Woodpeckers were pairing off.

What a gorgeous park. Just the kind of habitat where you'd expect an Osprey.

And there it was.

I will mostly definitely return on one of my days off to take my time.
